La scena roots dub inglese negli ultimi tempi ha attraversato una fase di leggera stanchezza. Servono nuove vibes, nuove emozioni capaci di smuovere un mercato che ha rischiato di diventare troppo saturo e ripetitivo. Il produttore David Judah lo ha capito, e dopo una pausa di un paio d'anni e' ritornato con un album bello esplosivo. I suoi potenti ritmi steppers, creati dalla Dubplate Vibes crew, hanno incontrato un cantante capace di dargli ancora piu' forza: Face To Face e' un giovane cantante giamaicano, proveniente da S. Andrew (JA), ed ha affrontato i ritmi della Solardub con grande energia e naturalezza, riuscendo a dar vita ad un album decisamente entusiasmante.
Si tratta di vero hard-core steppers, ma con una parte vocale dall'inclinazione dancehall: un'altra faccia di quella fusione roots-Dj style che rendendo grande il reggae moderno.
Il risultato e' di sicuro effetto per qualsiasi sound system roots e culture.

In the last time, english roots has gone trough a little tiredness. It need new vibes, new emotions, able to shift a market that has riscked to become too full and repeated. Producer David Judah has understood this, and after a couple of years out has come back with a powerful album. His strong steppers rhythms, marketed by Dubplate Vibes Crew, has met a singer able to give them more power again: Face To Face is a young jamaican singer from S. Andrew (JA), that run with great energy and naturalty over the Solardub riddims, managing to give us a really exciting album. It's pure hard-core steppers, but with a voicing dancehall-oriented, another kind of that roots/dancehall fusion of today reggae. Garanteed to make great impact in every roots and culture sound system.
