The Rootsman The Final Frontier The Rootsman ritorna con l'ultimo capitolo
della serie Third Eye dedicata al remix, proponendoci una rielaborazione,
particolarmente adatta alle dancefloors, dell'imperdibile "52 Days to
Timbuktu".
Taglienti basslines costituiscono la giusta introduzione al torrido dub
digitale contaminato dall'elettronica dance e da beat sperimentali che
confluiscono in un melting pot musicale dalle moderne sonorita'.
Le forze primitive della musica dub si saldano a meraviglia nelle escursioni
techno del remix di Oochi e negli studi sperimentali delle intriganti
manipolazioni di Muslimgauze e Zion Train, mentre i suadenti ritmi down
tempo di Grounation, Irie Hi-fi, Nigel Parker, The Disciples introducono
alcuni dei momenti piť ispirati dell'intera produzione targata The Rootsman.
Decisamente una delle proposte piu' interessanti di fine '98 che non si
limita ad essere una semplice raccolta di remixes.
Edizione limitata (solo 500 copie) per il vinile e traccia nascosta nella
versione CD (stupenda).

The Rootsman come back with the last chapter of the series Third Eye
dedicated to the remix, offering us a re-elaboration, especially suited
to dancefloors, of the 52 Days to Timbuktu which cannot be lost. Sharp
basslines finely introduce the torrid digital dub influenced by the electronic
dance and experimental beats which join in a melting pot of music with
modern sounds. Dub music primitive forces join marvellously in the techno
excursions of Oochi's remix and in the experimental studies of the meddling
mixes of Muslimgauze and Zion Train, while the down tempo rythms of Grounation,
Irie Hi-fi, Nigel Parker and the Disciples are one of the most representative
of the Rootsman's whole production. This is surely one of the most interesting
proposals of the end of year 1998 which isn't simply a collection of remixes.
Limited edition (only 500 copies) for the vinyl and a hidden track on
the CD version (nice!).
