Un altro progetto sonoro che porta la firma di African Headcharge, il versatile gruppo inglese che abbiamo ammirato per anni come portavoce del dub digitale piu' profondo e sacro, quel dub dalle tante influenze etno che meravigliosamente sublima in raga elettronici dalle cadenze vagamente funk-rock.
A dir il vero non e' possibile parlare di un vero e proprio "nuovo" disco visto che si tratta di una sorta di compilation di alcuni dei loro brani piu' rappresentativi scelti e rimanipolati da Professor Stretch in chiave Drum & Bass. "Stretch" ce lo ricordiamo come produttore di alcuni singoli su Moving Shadow e come remixer di artisti quali Alex Reece, Lighting Seeds ed Eric Clapton nonchˇ come membro del gruppo Drum & Bass degli Underwolves. Ottimi i momenti in cui il "Professore" non fa complimenti e pigia l'acceleratore ritmico dando cos“ un'impronta sicuramente piu' da club a brani come "The Fullness" o "Run Come Chant"; suggestivi, peraltro, sono i momenti in cui la forza d'urto si stempera a favore di accattivanti atmosfere che da dub si spostano felicemente al trip hop.
Certamente non un disco rivoluzionario ma di sicuro ammaliante, nelle suggestioni tribal-mantriche di una camera d'eco che Professor Stretch manipola a dovere.

This album represents another sound project by African Headcharge, the versatile English group we admired for years as the ensign of the most deep and sacred digital dub which has many etno influences that exalts in electronic raga with accents vaguely funk-rock. Actually it is not possible to speak of a real "new" album since it is a sort of compilation of some of their most important songs choosen and remixed by Professor Stretch in Drum & Bass version. We remember "Stretch" as the producer of some singles on Moving Shadow, the remixer of artists like Alex Reece, Lighting Seeds and Eric Clapton and furthermore as the member of the group Drum & Bass of the Underwolves. Special moments are those in which the "Professor" doesn't matter of anything and pushes on the rythmical accelerator giving a mark, which is surely more close to club music, to songs like The Fullness or Run Come Chant. Suggestive moments are those in which the force of impact dissolves in favour of splendid atmospheres which move successfully from dub to trip hop. Although it isn't a revolutionary album, it is surely fascinating in the tribal-mantriche suggestions of a echo chamber which Professor Stretch handles properly.
